The natural Line focuses on FineArt inkjet papers made from unique raw materials: Bamboo, Hemp, and Agave. The plants that provide the cellulose require minimal maintenance, grow quickly, and don’t need any pesticides. Their rapid growth means that more cellulose can be produced on the same cropland than with other raw materials, and they also require much less water, helping to save valuable resources and protect the environment.

Hahnemühle Natural Line Agave

TIPA World Award 2020 winner for Best Inkjet Photopaper Line, Hahnemühle Natual Line Agave is made from 70% Sustainably grown Sisal (Agave sisalana) fibers and 30% Cotton and has a textural surface with a bright white base.

Agave is our favorite of the Natural Line of Sustainable papers. Its rough yet delicately defined surface texture, almost like fine wood grain, giving the subject a captivating sense of depth, yet with a pleasant, soft feel.

The Matte premium inkjet coating guarantees outstanding print results with excellent reproduction of color and detail, deep blacks, and optimum contrast in your images.
Using our Custom ICC Printer Profile for the Agave paper on our Canon Pro-2000 12-ink Printer produces Shadow Detail down to a Black Point of between 10-12, and Highlight detail up to a White Point of 251, using the Perceptual Rendering Intent.

Thurston Print Lab on Instagram

Thurston Print Lab posts on Instagram

Thurston Print Lab on Instagram, @ThurstonPrintLab, reflects our latest work, our client’s work, what’s happening at our facility in San Diego, and topical commentary on the state-of-the-art in Digital Photography and Printing Industries.

Learn about our Print Clients work by viewing the images they’ve printed on our Archivable Fine Art Media from Canson-Infinity, Arches, and Ilford.

Our Client’s Fine Art prints have been presented for prestigious national portfolio reviews, MFA submissions and student competitions, exhibitions at Galleries and Museums, and are sought out by discerning collectors.

From photojournalistic images of the social justice movement protests sweeping across our nation and the world, to dream-like allegorical composites and pastoral landscapes that mystify or console us during the most devastating pandemic to strike humanity in over a century.

We post links to slideshows of our Clients work on our website. These Client slideshows represent what I feel are the best of the best, and are just a sampling of some of the amazing  images I have printed for my most creative and talented clients.

It never ceases to amaze me when I hit the “Print” button, and these Images, that I did not take, nor have I ever seen in print before, literally leap off the page at me as they emerge from the printer, with their diverse vision, styles, narratives, and statements of the human condition expressed through photographic imagery.

I am grateful for every day that I participate in the creation of these beautiful images along with my clients, who have also become great friends too. Enjoy, and if delighted by what you see, contact my clients to purchase their prints.
