Submitting your images for Printing during the CoVid-19 Pandemic.

Learn how to submit images for printing during the CoVid-19 Pandemic to Thurston Print Lab. These procedures are in accordance with the San Diego County Public Health Order issued May 6, 2021.

These are extraordinary times with the many restrictions placed on us and we have gone out of our way to try and serve our local Southern California clients’ needs in as normal a fashion as possible and that you deserve.

For Local Clients in Southern California only please follow these steps in order to not only get the best quality printing at the best price, but doing so safely during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

  • Fill out this Local Customer Print Order Form
    • Choose a type of Media to Print your Images on
    • Choose a size type, and quantity of Prints for your Image
    • Choose Online Image Submission or In-Person Image Submission
  • Reply to your order confirmation email and either
  • We will send you an email estimate for your approval of your Print Order
  • Upon your approval we will send you an Invoice which must be paid in full for your Print Order to be processed.
  • We will email you letting you know when your Print Order is Ready for:
    • Making an In-person Pickup appointment
      • Curbside
      • In-person Inspection
    • Having your Prints Shipped to you

How to Submit Images Online for Printing during the CoVid-19 Pandemic

You will receive an email with a Link to a Folder on our Google Drive for your to upload your Image Files for printing.

Steps for Online Delivery of your Image Files.
  • Create a Folder in the Google Drive you received a link to and name it in this format: 
    YYYYMMDD.Your last name.Number of images.PaperName
    • For example: 20210508.Smith.8.CansonEditionEtching
    • Create a separate folder for each paper name if your order is for images on multiple paper types
  • Copy your Properly Formatted Image Files to the appropriate folder for your Print Order

How to Submit Images In-Person for Printing during the CoVid-19 Pandemic

  • To deliver your files to us in person create a Folder on your removable media and name it in this format: 
  • YYYYMMDD.Your last name.number of images.PaperName
    • for example: 20210508.Smith.8.CansonEditionEtching
    • Create a separate folder for each paper name if your order is for images on multiple paper types
  • Copy your Properly Formatted Image Files to the appropriate folder for your Print Order
  • No more than one customer may enter our facility at a time.
  • Your Temperature will be taken with a Contactless Thermometer.
    • Anyone who has a Temperature of 99ºF or above will not be allowed entry.
  • Facial Coverings/Masks must be worn at all times.
  • Social Distancing of at least six-foot distance from one another at all practicable times.
  • Hand Sanitizer will be available upon entry and exit.

Image Evaluation and Editing Sessions during the CoVid-19 Pandemic

We can now conduct both Online and in-person image evaluation and editing of your images for print optimization here at Thurston Print Lab when you drop off your files for your print order with the following restrictions:

Online Image Evaluation and Editing Session

Clients can schedule one-on-one Zoom Screen Sharing sessions that can last up to 45 minutes to have their Images Evaluated and/or Edited Edit for print Optimization and Paper selection prior to printing.

How to Setup a Zoom Online Screen sharing Session

  • You can download Zoom software for your desktop/laptop computer here.
  • These screen sharing sessions must be done on a Desktop or Laptop computer only. 
  • When you schedule a time for your Zoom screen sharing session you will receive a link for you to click on with the Meeting ID, Password to start your session.

In-Person Image Evaluation and Editing Session

Local Clients can schedule safe in-person one-on-one Image Evaluation and/or Editing sessions that can last up to 45 minutes for print Optimization and Paper selection prior to printing.

How to Setup an In-person Session

The Following Safe Business Guidelines must be followed for In-person Sessions

  • No more than one customer may enter our facility at a time.
  • Your Temperature will be taken with a Contactless Thermometer.Anyone who has a Temperature of 99ºF or above will not be allowed entry.
  • Facial Coverings/Masks must be worn at all times.
  • Social Distancing of at least six-foot distance from one another at all practicable times.
  • Hand Sanitizer will be available upon entry and exit.

Delivery of Print Orders Locally during the CoVid-19 Pandemic

In accordance with San Diego County Health Department Safe Reopening of Business guidelines and if you don’t want to come inside our facility we will also have Curbside Pickup of your Completed Print Orders.

Curbside Pickup for Print Orders

  • We will contact you when you order is ready for pickup.
  • Show up at your agreed upon time.
  • We will bring your order out to your car, and be wearing Facial Coverings and have Sanitized our Hands prior to your arrival.

In-Person Print Inspection and Pickup

Should you want to inspect your completed Print Order before accepting it, you may do so by alerting us to your needs in advance and you may enter our facility to inspect your prints under the following restrictions:

  • No more than one customer may enter our facility at a time.
  • Your Temperature will be taken with a Contactless Thermometer.
    • Anyone who has a Temperature of 99ºF or above will not be allowed entry.
  • Facial Coverings/Masks must be worn at all times.
  • Social Distancing of at least six-foot distance from one another at all practicable times.
  • Hand Sanitizer will be available upon entry and exit.
